Today, we are meeting Kelly. Kelly, has been part of the Espresso family for over a year now, and we wanted to find out a little bit more about her. After 4 years working in Multi Media Advertising at a local newspaper, she decided to switch to Digital, and has never looked back.
Client Relations Advisor
Length of Time at Current Job:
1 year 5months
Tell us about your position and what you do on a day to day basis?
Every day in this position varies, one day you can be speaking to clients and asking for information to get websites live, other days you can be dealing with post live edits. I also work in front of house, so I am always on hand to welcome clients to Espresso Web and make them feel welcome. I guess you can say I am a glorified receptionist (I go mad when the lads in the office call me this haha)
What do you like most about the job?
I love the variety of work, but I would say, that the best thing is seeing clients happy. When you know a client is happy with a project you have been involved in, you know you’ve done a good job. It’s also nice to be recognised in the reviews that clients leave about the service we provide.
What keeps you motivated at work?
I love good client feedback, so keeping clients happy is my motivator.
From your first day at the company, how have you evolved?
The first day at the company, I honestly couldn’t tell you much about digital marketing apart from that it involves advertising online. I have learnt so much from Web Design to SEO, from domain names to Meta Data, and I continue to learn. As the internet evolves so do we.
Tell us a funny story:
Let’s just say I am glad there isn’t a lift in this building as I have a tendency for getting stuck in them!
What advice would you give people who want to work in the industry?
Don’t think that you don’t know anything about the industry, as it is so easy to pick up, and if you are determined to achieve you will learn and you will excel in your career.
And finally, what’s your life like out of work?
Out of work, I have a partner and 2 children. One of which plays for a local junior football team, your likely to see me on a Sunday morning stood on a muddy touch line, shouting the boys on (and yes, I am one of those crazy football mums…10/10 on the crazy scale apparently). All other times you will see me having a battle with my head strong 2 year old!
